Website Accessibility

Web Accessibility Statement

  • Zion District 6 is committed to providing information can be communicated to all members of our community and therefore makes web accessibility a priority. We make every effort to comply with the general standards determined in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the specific Web Content Accessibility Guidelines developed by the World Wide Web Consortium.

  • Some users with or without disabilities may not be able to see, hear, or process some types of information; may have difficulty reading or understanding text; or may not be able to use a keyboard or mouse. We are working with West, our website provider, and SiteImprove to design and monitor compatible website pages with website readers and other technology that can make the information on the website more accessible to everyone. Zion District 6 continues to review and update its website to ensure compliance with current and future standards. Most of the information provided on District 6 websites is in HTML format. Longer documents are sometimes provided in Google Docs or in PDF format. Adobe Systems provides a User Guide that provides guidance on accessing PDF documents for visually impaired users of screen reading technology.
